The Keysight Radar Scene Emulator is revolutionizing the autonomous driving industry, and Keysight needed a video to make an impact at the 2022 CES product launch.
The Radar Scene Emulator (RSE) is so new, we didn't have the ability to film the final product, so we created a 3D model that could show off what it was capable of.
In order to replicate a visual of what autonomous driving vehicles see via radar, our creatives used 2D overlays to represent distance from objects, labels and detection.
For a more interactive experience at the CES conference, we created a hologram using the "Pepper's Ghost" technique that allowed viewers to watch the RSE open up and see the radar in action.
Before teaming up with the incredible creatives at Czarnowski, we put on our own hard hats to create and test mock ups of how we can pull off a hologram.
Finalizing the lighting, angles and effect took a lot of back and forth between the teams. We had to make sure everything was working just right with the angles before we went all in on the build.
After many tests, we were able to incorporate our hologram into their mock RSE unit, creating a huge hit at the Keysight CES booth. Below, you can see it in all it's glory on launch day.
